Coach Erin Rock, USA Triathlon Level 1/NASM Certified
I began running in 2008. Running became my gateway drug to triathlon, and eventually a career in the fitness industry. Since 2014, I have worked as a NASM personal trainer and USA Triathlon coach, helping people of all levels and ages achieve their goals. I also practice what I preach, and hold my own as a competitive master’s athlete in run distances from the 800m to marathon, including being part of the 4 x 800 American record-breaking team (age 45-49.) My marathon career has included 2nd overalls at both A1A Fort Lauderdale and the Marshall Marathon, as well as a second master in Carmel with a 3:03 PR. In triathlon, I have been awarded All-American honors most years and have overall female wins in distances from local sprints to 70.3 (Toughman Tennessee.) Aside from sport, I am married to Damien (see below)and we have three rescue hounds. We love traveling and cooking plant-based meals.
Coach Damien Rock, NASM Certified
I attended R.A.C.E.(Racing Academy and Education) in Ireland in 1996, kicking off a 20+ year career as a jockey and exercise rider. At R.A.C.E., I developed a passion for strength training, which inspired me to continue my education in the fitness industry. I’ve competed in multisport races for over 15 years, including seven Ironman 70.3 races, with a personal best of 4 hours and 53 minutes (back before super shoes!.) Although I’ve run road races from 5k to marathon, my passion is trail racing, with multiple wins in the Backside Trail Half Marathon, and a second in the competitive Stone Steps 27k.
