July Challengers

We’re officially over the hump and over halfway to Christmas!  In my opinion, June was the best month yet.  Who knew a day without social media could be so liberating?  I had to check a few work emails but as a Facebook addict, I never thought I would enjoy the day off as much as I did.  It felt like it was 1996 again! And visiting the historic site was great fun and a true walk back in time.  We chose Waveland, an antebellum mansion just on the outskirts of Lexington, KY.  Though we only walked the grounds I’d love to go back for the full tour.  it looks like all of you did well, too.  The lighthouse at Chincoteague was a personal favorite, and I loved Tatia’s state line pics of the Carolinas.  In retrospect, I guess the Carolinas was the place to be this month!

Without further adieu…

Habit:  Organize!  We’ll spend 5:00 per day (on top of your usual cleaning habits) organizing.  I know I have a few drawers that are screaming for attention.  It can be drawers, cabinets, baskets, files; even your email.  I recently deleted 600 emails and it felt great. It could be your car, purse or garden. Use your imagination on this one.

Task #1:  Take a class (a class you would not have planned to take without this challenge.) Everywhere you turn, there are free classes, classes online, very unique classes, etc.  It could be a class at the gym (regular boot camps don’t count Tatia!,) a wine and paint class, a cooking class, a webinar online or anything that tickles your fancy.

Task #2:  A Day Without TV.  Continuing on with the less-technology trend, this could be a tough one.  Get out your board games, books, puzzles and party like it’s 1899!

That’s it!  Make sure to mark your points at the end of each month on the spreadsheet. Have fun with this one!
